Our new and exciting dishes are made with the freshest ingredients and were all individually crafted and tested by our loyal patrons making sure they passed the strictest taste test before we put them on our menu!
Our beautiful Blue is back and over the course of the last few months we have converted our look to a cool, breezy, chilled out blue, lazy white and sandy brown bringing the Mediterranean sea into Splashes for you to enjoy.
Our quest to cater to every taste and need has not been ignored and a large part of our re-design plan was to include a kiddies room, safe and fun, complete with a plasma tv, chalk board and plently of toys and books to keep the children occupied whilst parents may enjoy their meals, knowing their children are catered for.
Our 180 degree view of the sea is a real treat on a beautiful day, enjoy a cocktail, watch the ships sail into the harbour and let the staff at Splashes live up to our reputation cater to your every need, a truly amazing experience!

We all know that a coat of paint to your home and wall or fencing around your Pretoria East Property can improve the “curb appeal” of your home. But that isn’t the only reason to make sure your fencing and gates are in in good condition. Gates and fences in proper working order ensure the safety of your home and family.
It’s a good idea to check all fences and gates to your Pretoria East Property regularly, making sure there are no broken sections, no gaps underneath or between and that all gate mechanisms on self-closing gates function properly to ensure the safety of your property and family, as well as keeping pets and children from getting out.
Weather, from extremes in temperature to ordinary rainfall, can affect gate operation either through the creation of rust, or through freezing and thawing that affects gate alignment. Rusty metal hinges and latches or gate misalignment can lead to gates that no longer close securely, creating conditions that can be dangerous or even deadly if ignored. When was the last time you checked each gate around your property?
Selecting the right gate hardware can easily solve most of these problems. Choose gate hinges and latches that are made of super strong engineering polymers that will not rust, and are adjustable and self-lubricating, requiring little or no maintenance.
Updating your gates so they are self-closing and self-latching, improving the security and overall look of the fence, can be done in just a few minutes with these products.
“In our research, we found that when homeowners consider their fencing needs, rusty metal gate hardware that no longer functions properly was their number one concern,” says Jim Paterson, a senior vice president with a leading manufacturer. “Common gravity latches are inexpensive and function fine when new. However, as soon as rust sets in, these latches no longer close without manual assistance.”

One of Cape Town’s well known exhibitions is once again taking place after a nearly 2 year absence… The Cape Town Book Fair is back!
The Cape Town Book Fair is set to take plact from 15 to 17 June 2012 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Organisers of the Cape Town Book Fair decided last year that it would become a biennial event, re-launching this year at the CTICC. The Fair is now under new management and has undergone exciting branding transformations, with new marketing material, a new website (http://www.capetownbookfair.com/) and an upgraded logo.
The Cape Town Book Fair is still a great platform for exhibitions for and by the literary world and publishing trade.
High expectations for this year’s fair
Organisers are confident that this year’s Fair will far outdo expectations: they’re anticipating an exciting mix of representatives from the African, Arab and Asian publishing worlds.
They’re also expecting a positive spill-over from the 29th International Publishers Association (IPA) Congress, which is being hosted in Cape Town from 12 – 14 June 2012. This will be the first time in over 100 years that this Congress will be hosted in Africa.
Book lovers are in for a treat
As usual, bookworms can look forward to exhibitions by aspiring and published authors, book associations, book distributors, book stores, electronic book traders, libraries, literary agents, printers, publishers and repro agents.
So far, confirmed exhibitors include Paarl Media, Juta and Company, Protea Boekhuis, Pan Macmillan South Africa, Shuter & Shooter Publishers and Cambridge University Press amongst others.
Although the final programme is yet to be confirmed, there will be book launches, book signings, author interviews, literary workshops and forums, and a poetry corner on offer. There will also be a dedicated digital zone for eBook fans, as well as a cookbook corner for
